Only One Kind of Notepad

Just as there is only one kind of acceptable ginger ale (Vernor’s), there is only one kind of notepad. OK, there are other kinds, but there is only one kind I will use for my work. The notepad the 25-404 from the manufacturer Ampad. I first discovered it during my summer internship at Apple. My manager Matt gave me a notebook and at first, I’ll admit, I didn’t think it looked like much. The notepad is made from 100% recycled paper, so it’s cover looks like a tan piece of cardboard. The inside is complete with 80 pages of a kind-of off-green-yellow paper (which makes it easier on your eyes). It wasn’t until I started using it with my Sharpies that I realized how cool this notebook really is. There is just something about it that makes me feel like I am getting a lot done, and what I am doing is actually of some worth. In addition, it looks really good with multiple colored Sharpies. There is only one downside, however, to the notebook, and that is that it is only available from online Staples. That is honestly the only place exists: just Google “Ampad 25-404″ and that will affirm that it is rare, but its rarity makes it all the more unique. The Ampad 25-404

First off, what doesn’t look good with multi-colored Sharpies? Exactly, my first point is made for me.

    2. I love the color description: “off-green-yellow.” As in a legal pad yellow color? Maybe? Either way entertaining.

    C) I find it equally amusing that you searched (thankfully using Google- it is the ONLY search engine) for said notepad online.

In short, I’m just glad for yet another thought from Kevin Cathey. My replies on here may soon become my own blog. Allowing me to release some of my unique yet awkward ranting styles. Enjoy

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought when reading the heading was the reference from Ephesians 4:4-6:

There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Perhaps a Kevin C version would read (as a second priority to scripture):

And there is one notepad (25-404), one search engine (Google), one woman (Leslie) and one computer (Apple).

There is also only one kind of pencil, no matter what kind of notebook you use. It should go without saying, of course, that this pencil is the legendary Ticonderoga. “It’s gotta be a rogie.” ‘Nuff said.

    Hey!
Sorry I didn’t offer you a ride home from church today. I didn’t see you in your normal spot so I assumed you’d gone home for the weekend.

I could not agree more. This notebook ROCKS! As it used to say on the pizza box when I was just a young sprout, “You’ve tried the rest, now try the best”

    no kidding.
